The new STANFORD™ Bench offers traditional styling combined with the benefits of modern, low-maintenance materials. STANFORD Bench is the perfect companion to the long-established STANFORD Seat and STANFORD Bin, which are hugely popular in parks and urban spaces where emphasis is given to preserving and restoring architectural heritage.
STANFORD Bench conforms to current Disability Discrimination Act guidelines for seating height and its generous width can accommodate up to six people. The bench uniquely features two stylish armrests to provide excellent support for the user when sitting down or getting up and also act as a deterrent to skateboarders.
STANFORD Bench features the same construction materials as the best-selling STANFORD Seat. The end supports are constructed from 100% recycled cast aluminium to provide heritage aesthetics without the corrosion problems commonly associated with cast iron. STANFORD Bench is available with a choice of Enviropol®, Enviroplus® or Timberpol® slats.
Enviropol material is a new landscaping material manufactured predominantly from post-consumer plastics, with 100% recycled content. Enviropol material's density, strength and weather-resistance will ensure a long, virtually maintenance-free service life. It is self-coloured and needs no painting or surface treatment. It is resistant to chemical attack and impervious to water, frost and most corrosive substances. Enviropol material is knot and splinter-free, making it ideal for seating, and is 100% recyclable at the end of its long service life.
Enviroplus material is manufactured entirely from recycled consumer and industrial plastics. By balancing these uncontaminated recycled waste materials, the result is a remarkably versatile product with many applications and benefits. Enviroplus material offers all the benefits of Enviropol material, with the added advantage of a smooth integrally moulded outer skin, which strengthens and stiffens the profile while being easy to wipe down and clean. Enviroplus material is self-coloured and needs no painting or treatment, is impervious to water, frost and most corrosive substances, and is unaffected by brine, animal wastes, fungi, bacteria or insects.
New Timberpol material is a durable and strong composite material containing a minimum 70% recycled hardwood sawdust and recycled polypropylene. It is self-coloured and virtually maintenance-free. As with all products containing timber, a certain amount of natural colour fading will initially occur. This does not affect the performance of Timberpol material and no painting or varnishing is required. The added advantage of Timberpol is that while it looks like wood, it does not splinter and is knot-free, making it ideal for seating.
STANFORD Bench can be personalised with the addition of polycarbonate plaques with your name, message or logo to fit the rectangular recessed area on each end. In addition to this, a circular polycarbonate plaque can be added to the STANFORD Seat. This can also be personalised with your name, message or logo.
